Tortuga Enters OceanFirst 2015 Calendar Contest

Tortuga Enters OceanFirst 2015 Calendar Contest

The deadline has now passed for photographers to submit their original local photographs to participate in the Annual OceanFirst Bank 2015 Calendar Contest.  Suggested themes include seasonal scenes of familiar local landmarks, beaches, oceans or lakes within Ocean, Monmouth and Middlesex counties.

“A panel of judges comprised of OceanFirst Bank officers will be randomly selected. Photos will be judged on composition, quality and suitability.  More than 12,000 calendars will be distributed among OceanFirst customers and the general public throughout Ocean, Monmouth and Middlesex counties during November and December 2014. Recognition will be awarded to each photographer featured in the calendar, along with a small byline to include artist information.”

We figured that there would be plenty of Barnegat Lighthouse photos, along with a pile of late summer snapshots of the Jersey Shore from the last minute entrants.  So, we decided to try something a little less cliché and dig deep into some shots earlier in the year and colder in temperature. Here are our five entries for this year’s contest. Wish us luck!
