Get to Know Us!
Chris Connors and Jess Connors, Co-Owners Jess Connors is the Graphic and Web Designer for Tortuga Creative. Jess was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador. At the age of seventeen, Jess and her mom moved to Ocean County, NJ, where her passion for design had started. While attending college in 2001, she began working as a freelancer. Jess later earned her Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Multimedia Graphic Design from New Jersey Institute of Technology. Her interests outside of her work include: Animals [dogs in particular], Volleyball, Zumba®, Traveling and Photography.
Chris Connors is the Illustrator and 3D Designer/Sculptor. He also has been behind the marketing for Tortuga Creative. He has been a life-long resident of Forked River, NJ. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, before earning his Masters of Arts in Instructional Technology. Outside of work, Chris is a sports junkie, an avid fisherman, and beach bum.
Chris and Jess are married and currently reside in Lacey Township, NJ.

Our Brand and Logo
Tortuga Creative's "Shell" LogoThe tortoise, or "tortuga" in Spanish, is recognized around the world for its long lifespan. Tortuga Creative’s mission, similarly, is to design and create media that leaves long-lasting impressions.
The Tortuga Creative logo resembles a tortoise shell. The "shell" logo presents six outer hexagons of colors and an inner hexagon that is a pair of brackets. The colorful outer hexagons, inspired by the color wheel, symbolizes our graphic design service. The center hexagon, inspired by html tags, symbolize our web design service. Each hexagon can also be viewed as one of our six services: graphic design, web design, photography, multimedia, 3D design, and marketing; and collectively, make up Tortuga Creative.
