If every year has a theme, 2015 will be the year of wearable technology.
However, this product is not quite one of them.
The fact is, however, the new Samsung Gear VR will be turning heads. If you have seen the spot in the latest Samsung commercial, you may have had a, ‘What the heck is that?’ moment. If you haven’t seen the commercial… “you need to see this” (couldn’t resist):

Samsung Gear VR is a virtual reality device developed by Samsung Electronics in collaboration with Oculus VR. The Gear VR was first announced on September 3, 2014. When connected with a Samsung mobile device, such as the Samsung Galaxy Note, the Gear VR creates a totally independent system, with no interfacing needed with external devices making it a truly mobile system. The Gear VR features a touchpad on the right side and a back button which are interfaced to a separate mobile device via a micro USB connection.
